This commission is larger than most of the oils I've done. Still experimenting with scraping off and layering the oils to create more texture....
The year of creating a daily painting was a great experience - but my studio is only so big, and I need to clear some pieces out! In an effort to do this I've joined in with the studio sale at Artful home (this link is acting up, so if it doesn't work use the "Artful Home" link in sidebar on the right of my blog). I'm uploading ridiculous deals on original art every couple of days through Jan. 26 - hopefully by the end I'll be able to move around my studio more easily!

This is gorgeous, Jane! I am not surprised to see that sold sign on it already (and you only posted this 18 hours ago!)!! I so cherish my 7 JH pieces. Six of them are in my kitchen in a place of prominence. I adore each and every one of 'em!

I have been viewing your paintings on Daily Paintings all this last year, and I love your technique and the restful subjects. I know what it's like to have your studio become overwhelming - I'm a quilt designer and sometimes I just have to stop, straighten and start over again!
