Choosing the best composition - plein air studies



This is one of my favorite spots to paint, and I've done many versions of this scene over the years.  I'm finally ready to do a large studio version.  I'd love to hear your thoughts - do you prefer the vertical or horizontal compostion?

    Horizontal shows the expanse of the farm, but I prefer the vertical which leads me on the path directly to the farm without the extra foliage.
