Good news: We had an amazing trip and my head is swimming with inspiring landscapes to paint!
Bad news: I need to take a hiatus from painting and posting for a while to deal with some family medical issues.
I apologize ahead of time for not being able to reply to comments, e-mails, or visit any blogs.
I'll be back when I can...
Get well soon! You don't need to reply to any comments. Just heal! Glad you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteOh NO Jane!! I wish you a speedy recovery! May your inspiration outlast your injury!! (:
ReplyDeleteBad news indeed. I know what CTS is like - one minute numbness, the next minute pain. I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to the paintings your trip has inspired. x
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back and had a good trip Jane. But surely sad to know that you are dealing with wrist/hand pain. I used to have splints as well and I so wish I'd have kept them. I get the aches and pains of this occasionally myself, though usually when typing or writing. Not too bad with the art work. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteJane, sorry to hear of your discomfort and that you will be missing out on your passion for a bit...hang in there!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I know how frustrated you must feel. Hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a massage therapist and painter. Perhaps you are doing this already, but get some body work from a knowledgeable person. Typically carpal tunnel is tension and entrapment in the subscapularis and pec region. But you feel it in your wrists! Good luck.

ReplyDeleteBummer. I'm so sorry. I'd suggest painting with your toes or your teeth, but that might cause some injuries too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're getting all kinds of amazing ideas with this period of rest. Maybe you could keep a little recorder nearby to help you remember your thoughts since you can't write or type.
Goodness... who is feeding you, poor little thing?
Just wondering how you are doing...I miss seeing your work.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, I hope we could hear from you soon enough. It must be boring because you can't browse the internet and you can't paint.
ReplyDeleteall my best wishes to you Jane. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeletewarm hugs

I like your work, hope to see more
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that. But I'm sure it would not stop to bring out the creativity in you. And I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! Don't know how I missed this - but I'm hoping you're getting better by now! I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be! Heal fast & sound! Had wondered what had happened to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much - it's great to be back!!
