A great time was had by all at last night's Artist's of Colorado opening.
A big thanks to Brushstrokes Gallery for hosting this event!

Artists John K. Harrell, Kit Hevron Mahoney and Anita Mosher run this fantastic working studio-gallery. I've admired the work of all three for a while so it was a treat to see it up close. As I often find, their paintings are even more dynamic in person, and all three are just delightful to be around. Definitely visit this fun studio-gallery if you're ever in the Denver area and see them in action!

I also enjoyed meeting several other artists who I've only known online, and catching up with old friends. Check out more pics from the show on Pam Holnback's blog.

  6. Jane, I know I've said this before (and once I thought a piece was an oil when it was acrylic), but I swear there is a luminescence to your oil pieces. Every piece you do is beautiful and I love each and every one of them. To me, there is just a little bit extra in the oils that puts them over the top beautiful!

  7. Thanks Gillian :)

Sherry - thank-you! That means a lot coming from you because I know you liked the acrylics. I much prefer working with oils (now I've gotten past the learning curve) - they seem create more depth in a painting.
