I just found the greatest product - 'Gloves in a Bottle'!

I hate wearing gloves to paint. So I don't, even though I know I should as a lot of these art supplies contain some pretty nasty ingredients. Instead, I always promise myself before each painting session that this time I won't get caught up in the moment and start painting with my hands.
Hours later, as I do my walk of shame to the sink, hoping to scrub off the colorful toxins, I wonder what went wrong.
So the other day I was given a free sample of 'Gloves in a Bottle' at my local art supply store. You rub on a few drops before you paint and it supposedly creates a shield between your skin and the paint. I just gave it a try and it's pretty amazing. Today my hands were as caked in oil paint as usual, but it washed off really easily...love this stuff!

  1. I feel the same way about gloves, but I wear them snug and it work well. This painting has wonderful texture. I really like the feeling and application of paint.

  7. Pam - I got it at Guiry's, but I bet they have it all over. Here is their link I just found http://www.glovesinabottle.com/ so you can see what it looks like. It's basically shielding lotion.
